The 2nd to last rent control tenant has been pushed out of our building (or possibly bought out? we didn't get a straight story) and they have started the renovation of the apartment, which is 2 floors below me (with a previously renovated apartment in between). When I came home this evening, aside from the incredible amount of dust accumulation that has become de rigueur over the past week, I noticed that they must have been working on the radiator (remember- 2 floors below me) with such force that paint had flaked off the radiator, covering the floor beneath. I am grateful to have missed what must have been hideous banging to create such a result.

It does remind me that it is time to paint the radiator.
