I've Got Nothing

I just wanted to say I've got nothing to say.

Seems like it will be a boring summer and I'll have to work harder to find something to write about so I don't completely wither up in front of the TV and never return to the real world.

For fun, you can read an article where I was quoted.

On a positive note, a really nice woman I met via Twitter is sharing her experience traveling in Peru to help me figure out what I'm going to do there. The interwebs are finally working to my advantage.

I've taken many photos, none of which are worth sharing, mostly blurry and boring, like the summer has been so far.

I bought a new record (yes, vinyl), at about the same time my receiver died, so I can't actually listen to it for at least 5 to 7 business days while it gets fixed. Luckily I already have it on CD, so once again, I have nothing to say.

You could play that game where you flip a coin on every street corner to determine which direction to walk. Do that for an hour and then take a pic of where you end up. Some guy has a website for posting the photos, but I forget what it's called.

What's the name of the record?

It's the first Butthole Surfers record. I'm not sure if it's a new printing or old, but it has the Brown Reason to Live title on it, which isn't on the CD or tape that I have so I thought it was cool. It's shrink wrapped, and I'm hestitant to open it, so not having a receiver gives me more time to make that decision.

Still boring...

Something to think about on this patriotic weekend...my new apt abuts an illegal deck, as in people 1 inch from my face in my bedroom, kitchen and shower. This morn prior to work I yeledl at two large young men climbing the fire escape across from my window..something like "are you mental? Someone is going to call the cops and get you arrested !"
This evening upon my return from work I endured an hour or so of their beer drinking, vapid yapping and then opened my kitchen window and said, "why are you not going out tonight, are you losers?"
The story is ,they are 5 Army privates on leave from Va. (4 guys and Ashley). They rented the apt for 1200 bucks for 4 nights. They wanted to be in NY for the 4th. Only one was older than 21. The rest , from UT, FL, GA, and 2 from TX wanted to see ground zero. Ashley, was in middle school on 9/11. It is why she is in service. The UT private is getting a twin tower tattoo tomorrow. I was amazed at their milky, baby faces....these are the U.S children we are sending to the "sandbox".(that is what they call it)
I'll never read the names of soldiers killed without remembering the five milky faced tourists getting drunk on their $1200 a weekend deck. I hope they get to watch the fireworks from the Intrepid, instead of some snot nosed banker's kid from Larchmont.
