Bike Lanes and Weird New Rules

In a possible record number of 61 comments on EV Grieve's coverage of the new bike lanes, there is much discussion about how and when cars, buses, trucks, people and bikes are going to learn how to use the new colored bike lanes, that are intuitively weird, as in weird not to park next to the curb, but next to the colored box on the street. Weird to remember not to stand off the curb lest you get knocked over by a biker. Weird that they have to put up instructions on how to use these new lanes. It's all very disorienting.
I witsnessed a Coke truck getting a ticket for parking in the bike lane, so at least we know the effort has started to pay back the city in ticket revenue.
