Kitten Babies

In our search for a kitten, we found someone in Red Hook whose cat got knocked up by the local lady killer and went to visit mommy and her babies yesterday. We are going to adopt one of these cuties by the end of April when they are ready to be free.

Hi Jill,

Be sure to visit as frequently as the current responsible humans will allow, and handle, nuzzle, and talk to your kitten as much as possible- it makes a HUGE difference in the relationship and responsiveness, Thanks for the pics, many goofy cooing baby noises here in portland looking at them!

Adopt a pair if you can. (Then they have company and you don't separate the siblings!) Also, is it possible that these two cats are a couple ? (daddy and mommy?) Sorry if that sounds naive and will the mom go back to where she came from? I'm not against cats being outdoors depending on the situation. Some have it okay. the kittens are very cute. Thanks for helping them out. Also I think often kittens are separated from the mom too early and that has repercussions later on. Just another thought... (Ideally, I think the mom and kittens should get to stay together but we don't live in an ideal world, I know.)

We already have a young cat, looking for a companion for her, and we can't have 3 cats, it would be too much just in terms of the litter box alone.

The mother cat lives with people we know and she seems very happy there, safe and comfortable and had her kittens in their closet. They have 2 or 3 other cats so they can't keep the babies.

The father cat lives at that place where the photo was taken (some kind of construction company), the owner feeds and cares for a few cats who all look very healthy.

I don't think they have found homes for the other 2 kittens, so let me know if you are interested and I can hook you up.

We will be picking up our kitten the end of April when they should be ready to be separated from mommy.
