The NYC Board of Education offers FREE English as a Second Language classes for adults age 21+. Spaces are still still available for an Advanced English class starting this fall. This class is for people who already speak English but want to improve pronunciation, letter writing, resumes, advanced vocabulary, reading comprehension, conversational skills and other skills that will help in career advancement, new job opportunities, communication with teachers and more confidence in social situations.
Students in the class come from countries around the world and speak many different languages. Classes run daily Monday-Friday 9am-12pm at Hartley House.
Registration and ESL placement test will be on September 24 at 9:00 am (and every Wednesday thereafter, no appointment necessary)
