Brooklyn-Somewhere the M Train Goes

I have no actual idea where this is, and if I had to leave the train I would have been very disoriented. That this train doesn't fully run on weekends, and then is a shuttle on Myrtle is confusing enough, but the way it rides so close to the buildings you would think we were in another time altogether. And what the heck is that space station on top of a building? And the lions guarding the houses?
