Here is something that doesn't happen every day, or every decade: Deep Purple playing with a 25 piece orchestra. Well, almost Deep Purple. No Ritchie Blackmore, who now only plays Renaissance music. But mostly Deep Purple. Ask anybody you know under 35 if they know who Deep Purple is and they will look at you blankly. Hum Smoke on the Water to them, and there is just no comprehension. It seems that this band, so big in their day, has completely been left out of the current cultural music lexicon.
I apologize for the shitty, shaky video.
