Back around 1981 I gave a boyfriend a Smurf lifting weights. He put it on the dashboard of his 1973 Pontiac, and then it disappeared in a mysterious Smurf tragedy. He had the car for 10 years and the Smurf never reappeared.
When they were filming the Smurf movie on 10th Street I thought that maybe I could meet up with a Smurf and ask him if he knew what happened to his weight lifter cousin. But alas, lots of equipment, but no Smurf to be found.
