This morning, my neighbor was wondering what Stuyvesant Town looked like before that wall of brick went up. There is a wonderful video on Flickr that shows just what it was like, and also a clip of the tenements being torn down.
I *think* you have to be logged into Flickr to do this...I've embedded FLickr videos to myblogger account before... If you look above the video, there's a row of grayish icons. The fourth one over is embed. It'll take you to a page with code.

I think if we are going to be living in this google owned cloud, they should make it much easier for ME. :)
Cool video. Sadly, the demolished apartment is much nicer than mine...and the lady is using my coffee pot!
