Saving for a Ray Day
Every now and then I am stopped in my tracks as to how much I love the small moments. We spent most of the day at Sidewalk at the Save Ray's benefit, and the moment happened early on. Half of the East River String Band was playing when he brought two other musicians on stage - another guitar player and a spoons guy. Sorry I can't remember their names, but they were very bluesy like Blind Man Patterson and Spoons McGee (I'm totally making that up) and suddenly, the music went from excellent to mind blowing. Those two continued on in the next set with another band, the incredible Bill Murray Experience. The guitar/piano player doesn't appear to be in that band either. If anybody knows who he is, please let me know.
