Marc posted a piece ruminating on the fact that it is colder here than Antarctica. That same day a photo came through showing people sitting in the water in Antarctica, on Dec 21, the longest day of the year down there, which he subsequently put up at my urging. Who would have thought to pack a bathing suit to Antarctica? Definitely not me.I can't resist also posting this photo, because it really changes the way I think of Antarctica, and I am so jealous of the people that are there right now, without me, having fun, throwing up as they go through the Drake passage. I want to be throwing up in the Drake passage, dammit.
