More From Inside the Walls

So this thing fell out of the wall today. It is hard to get a good photo, but it's the glass top of a bottle that had a metal top with flanges that closed the bottle. Just like those fancy beer bottles (see photo to the right). It is encased in cement or plaster or a combination of the two. The top of the bottle says Columbia Bottling Co. According to this website, this was a beer company that changed their name to Columbia Bottling Co. when they switched to soft drinks during prohibition from 1916-1932. They changed the company name after that, which means that this particular part of the wall precedes yesterday's bonanza by at least 6 years.
